Urgent Appointment

Oldham Medical Services will be holding triage clinics every Mon-Friday. The reception team will be answering calls at 8am and taking some information regarding the nature of the appointment and adding you into a triage list where a strained senior staff member will call you back and sign post accordingly.

All appointments are triaged by 1pm and any Urgent appointments needed are booked in same day.

Home visits

To Book a Home Visit from the GP, please see instructions below:

1. Ring the Practice on 0161 357 2270 before 11am on the day you require the visit. This is to allow the GP enough time to triage and prepare for the visits

2. Home Visits should be requested by truly housebound patients only. This can include those who are temporarily housebound due to e.g. a recent operation

3. Requests made after 11am: If URGENT attention is required, call 999 or visit A&E, however, if patient feels they can wait to be seen, they can contact OOH GP from 18.30pm

All calls will be triaged by reception staff members and you may be asked to provide further information to aid the GP

Home visits should not be requested due to lack of transport to attend the surgery
