How To Access Your GP
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and recent guidance, The Practice has moved to a total triage system. This means all appointments will be telephone triaged by a clinician first and face to face appointment or video consultation will be offered if necessary. Please DO NOT visit the practice unless you have an appointment. All queries will be dealt with over the phone by our reception team.
If you have symptoms of Covid-19 please ring 111 or visit their website 111.nhs.uk/services/covid-19/
The Practice closes in the afternoon from 12pm to 18.30pm on one Thursday afternoon in every month for staff training. If you need to contact a Doctor during these hours please ring NHS111 - just dial 111 from either a landline or mobile and these calls are free. Alternatively, you can ring 7 day access on 0161 934 2827 for a GP appointment. 7 Day Access is an out of hours GP services and is based at different hubs across Oldham with the nearest being at the Integrated Care Centre.

If you need to order repeat medication, this can be done marking the items you require on the right hand side of your previous prescription. If you wish the pharmacy to deliver your medication, please indicate this clearly on your request.
Repeat prescriptions can be made by post, by hand, by fax or by clicking the EMIS Access logo below
Requests made for prescriptions that are not part of our repeat prescribing service will be considered by your doctor who may wish to speak to you on the telephone or see you in an appointment. This may apply to medication which you have previously been given but is no longer current. Please leave a contact number with any non repeat request.
Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be prepared. If you order by post, please also allow time for posting. Delivery: Please allow 48 hours from receipt by the practice.
If you require your prescription to be collected by one of the local chemists please mark your request clearly and allow an additional day for them to process.
A message will be printed at the bottom of the right hand side of the prescription, when you are due to see the Doctor for a check up or medication review. You must then make an appointment before any more prescriptions are issued.
If you have signed up with a local chemist for the electronic prescribing service we will automatically send all eligible requests this way. Please be aware that you will need to tell us if you change to another chemist so that we can ensure your details are correct on our computer system. If you move away from the area and register with another Practice that uses this system you will need to tell them so that your prescriptions are not sent to a chemist in Oldham.
unused or misused medications such as antibiotics can lead to worsening health conditions and more treatments. By doing your part and only ordering what you need you are helping to reduce the waste of medicines, which means these savings could be put towards other health services.
NHS legal advice states that it is considered an unsafe way in which to manage repeat medication due to the possible risks of incorrect recording for a variety of reasons. We do however, take telephone requests from housebound patients by prior arrangement if they are unable to use of the options available.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
