Appointment Defaulting

Please note that we have a large number of people that make appointments with the Doctor, Nurse or other Health professionals who DNA (do not attend) their appointment without giving us prior notice. This is therefore wasting an appointment and these appointments could be given to someone who need them.

We ask that if you are unable to attend an appointment you inform us in enough time for us to offer it to someone who needs it.

We now have a new practice policy where if a person fails to cancel an appointment they will recieve a letter advising we now have a policy in place (available at the surgery) to try to reduce the number of wasted appointments.

We regret to inform that even if you contact us after missing an appointment to explain we still have to count this as a DNA. This also applies when coming too late for an appointment and the Doctor is unable to see you.

As a practice we are dedicated to providing the best possible care and we do understand that there can be circumstances where you are unable to cancel.
